Power Plant Direct Steam Injection for Water Heating Application
A Canadian refinery needed a reliable water heating device that would maintain precise temperature control. They had plenty of steam available. The PSX Heater was installed to help improve the de-aeration process by raising the temperature of the return feed water prior to the de-aerator. Return feed water at higher temps have allowed for the oxygen to be more efficiently released in the de-aerator than at lower temperatures.
