It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tom Podwell, co-founder of ProSonix, who passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025.
Tom and Bruce Cincotta founded Prosonix nearly twenty years ago with a shared vision of bringing innovation and integrity to the world of process heating. Tom’s contributions were instrumental in shaping who we are today—not just as a company, but as a team.
After nearly two decades of dedication, Tom retired from ProSonix in December 2023. Though he stepped away from the business, his influence remained.
Tom had two great passions beyond his family and friends. One was the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and dedicated environmentalist who planted thousands of trees in his lifetime and worked to preserve the natural world for future generations.
His other passion was working with our customers. Tom loved tackling tough challenges and finding practical, creative solutions that made a difference. His sharp mind, generous spirit, and relentless curiosity helped Prosonix grow into a trusted partner across the industries we serve.
More than a founder, Tom was a friend and mentor to many of us. He left a lasting mark on our company and our lives, and we are all better for having known him.
He will be deeply missed.
